World Petroleum, Ltd. was a Kramer Associates daughter company created as part of the Jackson restructuring engineered by K.A. President John Jackson from 1929 to 1932. World Petroleum would have encompassed K.A.'s petroleum prospecting, drilling, and refining facilities around the world, including Petroleum of Mexico assets in Jefferson, California, and New Granada.
World Petroleum would have been in competition with North American Motors and petroleum companies in the Germanic Confederation and Great Britain. Sobel cites the competition for petroleum concessions in the Ottoman Empire as a cause of growing tensions among the great powers in the 1930s.
