Mexican President Victoriano Consalus.

The Treaty of Caracas was a peace treaty ending the Hundred Day War between France and the United States of Mexico. The treaty was negotiated in October 1914 between representatives of the two nations in the city of Caracas, New Granada.

Under the terms of the treaty, the U.S.M. was granted an indemnity of $200 million, with an additional $200 million set aside to satisfy the claims of Mexican nationals against property stolen or destroyed by French troops. France also ceded the Caribbean islands of Martinique and St. Thomas to the U.S.M.

Sobel's source for the terms of the Treaty of Caracas is Phillip Daley's The Hundred Day War (New York, 1966).
