The Sons of the Wilderness Walk was an anti-manumission group that took its name from the Wilderness Walk, the migration of American rebels from British North America to the settlement of Jefferson in the early 1780s.

The group came to prominence in the United States of Mexico after passage of the Manumission Act in May 1920. The S.W.W. announced in September 1920 that it would respond to any attempt to process freed slaves in Mexico City by destroying the city's Manumission Bureau building. A mob appeared in the plaza outside the Bureau building on the morning of 22 September, but President Emiliano Calles was able to face them down, and the freeing of slaves in the capital was not disrupted.
