The Senate Majority Leader is the head of the majority party in the Mexican Senate.
One notable Senate Majority Leader was Oscar Barkley of Jefferson, who led the Continentalist Party caucus during the second term of President Arthur Conroy. Barkley, like his sponsor Douglas Benedict of Petroleum of Mexico, was opposed to Conroy's proposed Constitutional reforms, and along with his opposite number in California, Omar Kinkaid, he kept a majority of the Continentalists from voting for them. Conroy was only able to gain passage of his reforms with the help of the opposition Liberty Party.
