Secretary of War Vincent Mercator.

The Secretary of War is a member of the Cabinet of the United States of Mexico, and the chief executive of the Department of War.

Notable Secretaries of War include Arturo Aragon, who served in the Cabinet of President Andrew Jackson; Yves St. Just, who served under Pedro Hermión; and Colonel Vincent Mercator, who named himself Secretary of War under Felix Garcia following the Mercator coup of 1950. After naming himself President in 1954, Mercator appointed Diego Calvares as his Secretary of War. Mercator resumed the office of Secretary of War after the election of President Raphael Dominguez in November 1965, and still holds it as of 1971.
