Pedro V (1837 - ?) was the Emperor of Brazil in the late nineteenth century. Sobel states that in the wake of Mexican Chief of State Benito Hermión's conquest of New Granada in 1890, Pedro V maintained Brazil's independence, but "could be counted on not to take any important step without first consulting Mexico City."
Pedro V does not have an entry in Sobel's index.
It is possible that Pedro V was the same individual as IOW's King Pedro V of Portugal, assuming that Portugal suffered a republican revolution during the Bloody Eighties and the royal family fled to Brazil.
