Pedro Hermión II is a member of the Hermión family from Madrid, Spain. He is the son of Benito Hermión II, the grandson of Joseph Hermión and Alexandra Romanov, the great-grandson of Frederick Hermión, the great-great grandson of Chief of State/Emperor of Mexico Benito Hermión, and the great-great-great grandson of President Pedro Hermión.
Hermión is a noted equestrian, and like his father, is disdainful of the pretensions of other members of his family to the short-lived imperial crown of his great-great grandfather. In 1969 the government of Raphael Dominguez granted Hermión permission to travel to Mexico City to purchase horses. During his visit, a reporter asked Hermión if he had any political ambitions in the United States of Mexico. Hermión responded, "What's the matter, didn't Mexico have enough of my family?"
