New Jersey

Governor Philip Carteret lands in New Jersey, 1665.

New Jersey was one of the thirteen British colonies that took part in the North American Rebellion. It was incorporated into the Northern Confederation of the Confederation of North America, where it remains today. Its capital is Trenton.

After the capture of New York City by William Howe in 1776, New Jersey became the principal theatre of operations for George Washington's rebel army until it made winter camp in Pennsylvania. The colony was part of the proposed Central Confederation in the original Britannic Design, and was incorporated with it into the N.C. in the final version.

The town of Toms River in New Jersey was the site of the first commercial vitavision transmitter, established by Thomas Edison's National Union company. However, commercial broadcast of vitavision did not become established for another twenty years.
