Kinsey was a silver-mining camp established by North American miners during the 1844 silver rush in the Broken Arrow region of Vandalia and Mexico del Norte. In the summer of 1845, at the height of hostilities between North American and Mexican miners, a group of Mexican vigilantes destroyed the camp.
