Karl Ollenhauer

Karl Ollenhauer was the founder and leader of the Free German Party during the Bloody Eighties. He was able to gain enough power in the Diet in the 1880s to push through some moderate reforms. Sobel does not indicate whether Ollenhauer became Chancellor, or whether the Free German Party was a junior partner in a coalition government.
