Carlos Sparling.

Carlos Sparling (1902 - ) is a Mexican physicist who defected from the U.S.M. to Kramer Associates following the Mercator coup of 1950. After arriving in Taiwan, Sparling was recruited to head the Taichung Project, a research project to build an atomic bomb. The Taichung Project was successful, and Sparling's bomb was successfully tested in the north Pacific on June 30, 1962.

In For All Nails, Sparling defects from Kramer Associates to the C.N.A. in 1970, and under the alias Charles Sterling, joins the North American space program.
