Elbert Childs was a North American politician with the People's Coalition who served as Governor of the Northern Confederation in the 1920s. He was one of the contenders for party leader and Governor-General-nominee at the national convention in December 1927, losing out to Councilman Frank Evans of the N.C.
North American political journalist Franklin Drew described Childs as having "the faint aura of the circus-master."
Childs does not have an entry in Sobel's index.
Sobel's source for Childs' bid for the Coalitionist leadership is Drew's The Guard is Confirmed: The Elections of 1928 (New York, 1933).
