Davis Malone is a North American historian specializing in the history of Quebec. His book The History of Quebec was published in Dorchester, Quebec in 1967.

Sobel cites The History of Quebec in Chapter 4, "[The Britannic Design]]" when discussing the decision to incorporate Quebec into the Britannic Design during the drafting of the Design by the Parliament of Great Britain in 1780.
