Arnold City

Arnold, Jefferson.

Arnold is a city in the state of Jefferson named for General Benedict Arnold, a rebel military leader in the North American Rebellion.

Arnold is best known as the home of Andrew Jackson, who served a term as mayor of the city before becoming the first President of the United States of Mexico. After taking part in the Wilderness Walk with the family of John Collingswood of Virginia, Jackson aided Collingswood on his plantation twenty miles north of Arnold, eventually marrying Collingswood's youngest daughter Sarah Collingswood and inheriting the plantation.

Sobel makes no mention of Arnold other than its connection with Jackson.
