Abraham Reese was the Conservative Party candidate for Governor-General of the Confederation of North America in the 1888 Grand Council elections. Sobel describes him as an able moderate. In spite of Reese's ability and moderation, however, the Conservatives won only nine seats in the Grand Council in 1888, down from 23 in the 1883 elections.
